Seasons of Life by Audrey Cofield

Curved Corner

Contemporary Works

In this contemporary era of artists,
The laymen are struggling to find,
Some expression of lasting profundity,
That could improve or enlighten the mind.

Beautiful phrases rampantly intertwine,
Line a prairie fire they spread,
Not one single spark seems to stay alive
In the end, when the finish is read.

No one thought remains to be embedded,
Readers toss on a befuddled sea,
Hungrily long for a simple message,
That could live on through eternity.
