Seasons of Life by Audrey Cofield

Lesson of Life

Soon there will be
An organ playing for me
But I shall not hear it that day.
Only those who are there
Still burdened with care
Will follow the songs as they play.

I have known gladness,
Been stabbed with sadness
Still, the lesson I would leave behind,
Is, live for each day
Put the dark thoughts away
Then pray for a calm peace-of-mind.
