Seasons of Life by Audrey Cofield

Curved Corner

Humility

I am terribly sorry, I apologize,
     Six little words to say,
But potent enough to cover up
The tears in a turbulent fray.

Homes, have been wrecked by its quiescence,
     Children have been torn apart,
And two lonely, obstinate people
Have been disjoined, with a broken heart.

No words in the English language,
Are as hard to acknowledge or say,
For it takes constant practice and humility,
To become big enough to convey.
