Seasons of Life by Audrey Cofield

Curved Corner

White Christmas

Today is bright, no dark storm clouds
     Hang heavy in the sky.
The sun belies the season
     With Christmas drawing nigh.

There is no snow, no gala mood,
     No feeling in the air,
As weary shoppers tramp the streets
     While searching here and there.

The holidays lack glamour,
There's a spark yet to ignite,
For it really won't be Christmas
     Unless the world turns white!
